About me

Ever since I was little I have had an interest in computers, video games, and electronics. When if comes to computers I have a lot of experience with taking them apart, building them, and repairing them. I’ve been building my own computers since I was 19 or so. One of the first projects that me and my daughters have done was to take apart, clean, and rebuild my computer. They’ve even built their own and have a pretty good understanding of how to properly route the cables.

One of the first video games I ever managed to beat on my own is Myst. I was around 7 when I did and ever since then I have been obsessed with the series. I was able to take a tour of the game studio and the creators of the series back in 2023. It was one of the most exciting things I got to do when it comes to playing video games.

I have a lot of experience with most electronics. One of the many jobs that I had was in electronic repair. I’ve worked on Apple products, Samsung phones, desktops, laptops, game consoles, and even a pizza oven’s control board. Some of the repairs I would do was screen replacements, replacing SMD (Surace Mounted Device) components, and CPU and GPU reflows.

The degree I’m working on is Web, Mobile, and Game Development. As long as I can keep myself on track I should graduate in the Spring of 2027. One thing I would really like to do with my degree is to get into IoT (Internet of Things) development. I would like to develop a Smart House system that can be used offline and would only need to be connected to the internet to do major updates. Even though a lot of things now have AI I want to include one in my offline Smart system. It would mainly be used to learn the users habits and how to make the user worry less about the small things, like turning on and off lights and setting the thermostat.

Another thing I would really love to do would be to work for Cyan Worlds. They’re the game studio behind the Myst series. The worlds and the world building the game developers make is truly inspiring to me. Cyan Worlds is one of the major reasons why I want to get into game development. In recent years they have remastered and remade 2 of their most popular games in the Myst series. One of the projects I am wanting to work on is remaking some of the other games in the series. I would love to see all of the games with modern graphics and physics.
